Due to the complex and changeable operation purpose and operation environment, and the need to ensure the safety of operators and property in the complex operation environment, the quality and performance of heavy vehicles need to be strictly guaranteed.

Therefore, in the manufacturing process, the manufacturing tolerance of each component (especially the core structural parts) is required to be within a very small range to ensure the smooth realization of its function and provide a solid and stable guarantee for the operation.

Inspection requirements & characteristics of main structural parts of heavy vehicles

In the overall structure of heavy vehicles, the main structural parts often bear the functions of connecting the preceding and the following, connecting and bearing various external forces. They are the core components to ensure the quality of vehicles, and have relatively strict testing standards.

Taking the main structural parts of the heavy vehicle to be tested in this case as an example, we need to focus on the following parts:

1. The relationship between each processing surface of the structural member (as shown in Figure 1, the perpendicularity relationship between surface a and surface B needs to be evaluated);

2. The positional relationship between each hole on the structural member and the base plane;

3. Coaxiality between specific holes;

4. Tolerance requirements: generally, the positional relationship is required to be 0.1mm-0.2mm; The hole located at the hinge point needs to bear the role of hub and load, and its coaxiality requirements are more stringent, with a tolerance of 0.05mm.

It can also be compared with the digital simulation, so as to achieve the purpose of measurement and detection.

Actual measurement in this case

1. Measurement of surface to surface relationship (taking the perpendicularity of surface a and surface B in Figure 1 as an example)

The radian laser tracker is used to cooperate with the SMR target ball to collect several points on the two surfaces respectively, and the 3D coordinates of these points are fed back to the analysis software at the same time. After the coordinates of all points are collected, the positions of the two surfaces can be constructed in the software based on the actual coordinates of these points, and automatically calculated and analyzed to realize the evaluation of the perpendicularity of the two surfaces.

2. Measurement of position relationship between hole and base

Firstly, the radian laser tracker is used to measure the number of SMR target balls on the set base plane, and the base plane is constructed in the software; Then, cooperate with the target ball and cylindrical pin accessories (as shown in Figure 3, the cylindrical pin can be used to cooperate with the target ball to probe into the hole for accurate measurement; the deep hole position can be measured by using vprobe hidden point probe), take points on the hole to be measured, and construct the corresponding hole (cylinder) in the software; Finally, the software can automatically build and analyze the position relationship between the hole and the base plane based on the collected point data (as shown in Figure 4).

3. Coaxiality of hole and hole at hinge point

The radial laser tracker is used to cooperate with the cylindrical pin or vprobe probe to collect the data of the holes to be measured respectively, and the cylinders are constructed in the software to automatically calculate the axis of each hole, analyze the relationship between the axes, and realize the evaluation of coaxiality.
