Application documentary report: high precision verification of datum point spacing of large-scale datum line

With the continuous development and progress of surveying, mapping, high-end manufacturing and other technologies, in the implementation of national key projects and scientific and technological projects, there is an increasing demand for large-scale and large-scale precise positioning. As a result, the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), in response to the national strategic needs, has built a 5-kilometer-long baseline for the performance verification and calibration of large-scale and large-scale measurement and mapping equipment, as well as the large-scale and long-distance comparison benchmark in other applications.
The total length of the datum line is 5 kilometers, which is composed of datum points 1 to 15 (see Figure 1). Among them, the length from No. 2 datum point to No. 4 datum point is 72 meters, and the distance between these two datum points plays an important role in the accurate positioning of the entire datum line. Therefore, the Chinese Academy of Metrology has adopted a variety of measurement methods to verify the spacing of No. 2 and No. 4 reference points to ensure their positioning accuracy.

API is very honored to be invited by the Chinese Academy of Metrology to participate in this project and use the Laser Tracker as one of the methods to verify the spacing of the above reference points. During the operation, the Radian Pro laser tracker, which has a measuring radius of more than 80 meters and is equipped with a laser interference ranging system (IFM ranging), is used to verify the reference point. The IFM ranging accuracy can reach 0.5 μ M/m, and traceable. During the measurement, the Radian Pro laser tracker implemented the full range IFM interference ranging (the tracker did not break the light) for the distance between the reference points, providing reliable data support for the evaluation of the distance between the reference points.

In addition, in addition to the IFM verification measurement for the distance between reference points of 72 meters, this operation was carried out in the outdoor environment under ultra-strong light, and demonstrated the excellent performance and powerful performance of the Radian laser tracker in the outdoor and bright environment.
